BIOGRAPHY

„I started with music at the age of four. After some early music training I learned to play the recorder and concert guitar at my parents’ music school.

At the age of seven I formed a band with a friend of mine and had my first drum lessons with my father. I have always been fascinated by band drummers.

1995 - 2003 I had drum lessons with Horst Faigle, Hans Kern and Charly Antolini, and also learned to play electronic guitar.

2003 I went to the Berufsfachschule für Musik in Bad Königshofen. I graduated 2006 in „Staatlich geprüfter Leiter im Laienmusizieren“ with Martin Amthor (Drums) and Ariane Weigert (Piano).

2006 I began my studies at the  Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt/Main. Besides Classical Percussions, like Marimbaphone, Vibraphone, Timpani and Small Drum I had the possibility to learn Drumset there, which was very important for me.

My teachers were Prof. Rainer Römer (Mallets and Small Drum), Tobias Kästle (Timpani), Claus Hessler (Drumset) und Sabine Asal (Piano).

During my studies I formed the band „The Audience“ with befriended musicians in 2003, which was signed by Hazlewood Vinyl Plastics in 2005. Until the split in 2012 we toured Europe and released 3 albums and a 7“ at Hazlewood Records and Rewika Records. 2009 we’ve been presented the Nuremberg Culture Award .

I now live in Nuremberg, teach drums in Hersbruck and play drums in several bands - and I am looking forward to new challenges.“
